A Tennessee couple finally had something to be happy about when they were able to reunite with their dog. The pooch had gone missing after the family house was ravaged by a tornado.
Eric and Faith Johnson were not expecting to see their missing Australian Shepherd, Bella, ever again. But to the couple’s surprise, the brave dog proved them wrong and returned home safe and sound.
When the tornado tore apart the couple’s house, they barely survived by taking shelter in the bathtub. It was Bella who had alerted them about the storm just moments before the cyclone struck the neighborhood with full force.
When things settled down, the Johnsons realized that their beloved pet had gone missing. The couple had no clue where the dog could be and also didn’t know whether she was dead or alive — but they didn’t stop looking for her.
The Johnsons had to leave their home because it had turned into a heap of wreckage. They moved to a new place to continue with their lives and also enlisted help to find out Bella. They kept on visiting their old neighborhood in the hope of being able to locate their dog but did not have any luck.
Later, some people got in touch with the couple and informed them that they had sighted the missing dog, but none could get to her.
Eventually, Sarah Romeyn, who helps people track their missing animals, successfully located the dog and reunited her with the Johnsons. She installed trail cameras at locations where the animal was reported to be sighted and reached the scared dog’s hiding place.
After getting their dog back, the Johnsons decided to rebuild their old house. Their journey to make everything just like the way it was before the tornado has not ended yet — but they are sure they’ll reach there soon.
