Dog? Cat. No. Dog. Wait… cat?

The mind game is finally over for confused netizens worldwide who can’t seem to decide whether this creature is a feline or a canine.

A photo of a Vietnam-based creature had circulated the internet when people said that it looked like a cross-breed of a cat and dog. The animal in question is named Dúi, and it is perfectly understandable why people debated on what kind of creature he is.

He has a dog’s face, but his body resembles a cat because of the gray hair, pointed ears, and docked tail. Confusing much?

The photo of the three-month-old was uploaded in Reddit and captioned, “Meet the derpiest fuzzball to ever walk the earth”. Users went crazy as they guessed what breed the dog belonged to. One tried to assume it as a corgi-chow, while another commented that it looked like a cartoon.

Some were quick to point out that Dúi might be a Hmong dog, an ancient breed originating from northern Vietnam. But while his owners Hai Anh and Minh Tuan, are also unsure about his exact mix, they confirmed he is a dog after all. His name means “bamboo rat” when translated into English, and Dúi’s owners describe him as “really sweet and funny.”

They mentioned in an interview that he’s a mix of a native dog breed and a Dingo, a short-legged dog, but they think he might also have a gene mutation. Dúi was bought in a mountain province in Vietnam.

Hai Anh and Minh Tuan created a Facebook page for him. They upload adorable photos of Dúi, and the account has attracted quite a large following. As of this writing, he already has more than 231,000 followers and his page is liked by more than  191,000 users—making him famous not only in Vietnam but also across the rest of the world.

So it’s settled.

Dog. Final answer.
