Pepper Regains Lost Health and Fur at Shelter

Pepper is today a happy dog with shiny black fur, but her condition had been terrible a few weeks ago. She was barely surviving on the roads of Udaipur city in India. P

Someone informed rescue center Animal Aid Unlimited about the stray dog’s terrible condition. When they approached Pepper, the canine showed she still trusted people despite her difficult life. She wagged her tail happily and went near the rescuers seeking food and petting.

Initially, the rescuers thought the mange could not be treated and Pepper would die because of her ill-health. But she had been rescued on time and the volunteers took her for treatment at their organization’s shelter.

Vets treated her mange condition and gave her medicated baths regularly as well as medicine for the infected scabs. Pepper was also spayed and given injections for common diseases and rabies. The treatment was uncomfortable but the spunky pooch was patient and kept wagging her tail happily to convey her thanks and appreciation to her rescuers.

After four weeks, Pepper is back to prime health. Her itchy skin has gone and her fur has blossomed back. She roams and plays around the shelter, making plenty of new friends. Everyone loves her back and adores her playful dog personality.
