A wedding day should always be a day for celebration and joy. Grooms and brides look forward to the day they will finally be called husbands and wives. But they are not the only ones anticipating this joyous day. Their fur babies are also very excited and nervous about their new life as a bigger family.
Rocky, a small and adorable dog, looked forward to the wedding day of his parents. Rocky seemed very excited to play a big role as an escort to the bride. But when the wedding day finally arrived, Rocky had mixed feelings and didn’t know what to do. Out of nervousness, Rocky ran away minutes before the wedding was about to start.
Ryan Chalmers and Stephanie Woodward, Rocky’s fur parents, planned to get married in the Artisan Church located in Rochester, New York. Stephanie lost her father when she was just 16 years old, so she gave the privilege to escort her down the aisle to her trusted and beloved dog, Rocky. But moments before the wedding, the pup became anxious and escaped the groomsman watching him.
The couple tried searching for Rocky but with no success. With no other choice, they continued their wedding ceremony and decided to look for the pup later. As soon as they said their wedding vows and were pronounced husband and wife, the couple continued searching for Rocky. Their wedding didn’t go as planned, but all that matters to them is for their family to be complete.
The couple was so dedicated in their search for Rocky that they even refused to go home without him. They decided to sleep in the church with hopes that Rocky would come running there. The couple even offered prize money of $500 for anyone who could find Rocky.
Rescued Treasure also helped in the search and set traps around the areas to lure Rocky. Fortunately, the pup got caught on one of the traps days after the ceremony. Ryan and Stephanie are very thankful to all those who helped look for their pup. Finally, the couple could go home with their fur baby and start a new family life!
