There’s something about going through firsts that excites us. For this little golden retriever pup, its first visit gave the most incredible experience, and a few lessons to boot.
Vet visit
Bailey is an adorable puppy scheduled to visit a doctor for the first time. The pup didn’t know what to expect yet, so he behaved well.
The puppy stayed calm and welcomed generous hugs and pats from the clinic’s personnel. The tail-wagging while getting a check-up’s just adorable.
That tail-wag told all about the pup’s energy; it zinged all over the place, and the positive vibes kept coming.
It tends to go down that way when you have an adorable fur ball scrambling, licking, and wagging its tail at you.
Bailey loved the attention, from getting weighed, temp checked, tick checked, and all the lovely tests all clinics do.
First Shot
While the puppy behaved well, we think we spoke too soon. A shot of the vaccine on Bailey’s upper back made him squirm, and soon after, the pup started to feel a burning sensation.
He hopped down to play but stopped short to give attention to the part of his body that burned. After a few minutes, he recovered and got back to the game with his newfound friends.
You’re such a good boy for behaving well, Bailey! We bet that the clinic personnel wishes all fur babies behave like you!
The brave pupper felt the effects of the vaccine when they got home, and his human parents made sure that he’s comfortable. After some cuddling and light ear-scratching, he settled down for the night.
Chin up and cheer up, puppy, that vaccine will work its wonders when the time comes. We’re positive you’ll get the full benefit, and believe us when we say it’s best that way.
