Sam Overcomes Starvation and Ill Treatment to Grow Strong and Healthy

Animal rescuers found Sam in a starving and tethered condition without shelter from the scorching heat. They were horrified and threatened the owner with legal action to get possession of the canine.

Sam had been deprived of water, food, and shelter all his life. He was anemic and dehydrated when the rescuers took him to their shelter. Sam was only able to eat a couple of bites at a time and was too scared to look at anyone in the eyes. Even at 10 months age, he hadn’t lost his baby teeth because of a lack of food to chew on.

Sam was infested with fleas and parasites too. At the shelter, Sam gradually started to gain strength. He received some food and fluids to start with. Sam was hospitalized but his rescuers were optimistic.

After Sam became strong and healthy, the shelter found him pet parents. Soon, he’ll be loved and spoiled in his adopted home. Sam’s heartwarming story shows that dogs have the ability to fight against the odds and overcome their troubles with a little assistance from humans.

The dog shelter did a commendable job in rescuing Sam from the clutches of his evil owners and grooming him into a fine and strong canine who can make a great pet for adoring parents.
