Peter Robson had lung fibrosis and doctors said he had little time to live. He had been admitted to the Ninewells Hospital in the United Kingdom. Its staff asked him if they could do anything to soothe him on his last day. He requested to see his beloved pet dog Shep.
Normally, the hospital does not allow dogs inside as they could bring in germs. However, in this case, the management agreed to the request. The eight-year-old dog had been Robson’s loving companion since the death of his wife. Ashley Stevens, Robson’s granddaughter, said he had no hopes of seeing Shep again, so he was very happy. Shep also gets excited about seeing Robson.
The family shared this touching story on Facebook. They expressed their gratitude to the hospital and appreciated the fact that its management went out of the way to make Robson happy in his final few hours.
