Tig is a tiny pitbull pup that had been abandoned in Washington D.C. He was weak and malnourished on the road. Dog rescuers got him treated at a hospital on an emergency basis but the initial diagnosis was not favorable.
Specialists gave Tig only a short time to live as he was very weak. He weighed only 15 pounds which were not even 50% of the weight of a normal dog of his size and age.
Tig recovered for three days and was then cared for by foster parent Kim O’Reefe at her home. Initially, Tig was very sad and weak. But he gradually regained his strength and started walking.
Soon, Tig began playing with the Rottweiler which was O’Reefe’s other dog. After another week, Tig was walking around the block and had become an active, strong canine.
Tig’s fur and skin began to glow and he had changed into a physically robust and emotionally happy canine. He was then adopted by Megan who took him home to live along with her spouse.
At Megan’s house, Tig enjoyed himself to the hilt and frolicked everywhere, including on the bed and couch. He now romps and plays all the time with the two other pooches parented by Megan.
Tig’s story shows us that dogs have the ability to trust and love unconditionally and can retain this trait even if they are not treated properly and have to go through difficulties.
This video on YouTube has garnered more than 11.1 million views. Viewers have commented that they are highly impressed with Tig’s inspirational tale as he went from a sickly, dying pup to a cute, playful, and beautiful doggo.
When Tig was found by the dog rescuers, he couldn’t walk or move on his own. In fact, the doctors thought he wouldn’t survive the night. But they had not known about Tig’s tremendous will to live. With a little help from humans, the spunky dog overcame all his hardships and blossomed into a strong and happy pooch.
A viewer named Kris Aaron wrote that he had much respect and love for rescue squads who are dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned and homeless dogs and other pets. Indeed, groups like the Humane Rescue Alliance do a wonderful job in protecting helpless animals and we should ideally donate our mite to their noble cause so they can continue to do their good work.
